The M&A team at TGS Baltic led by associate partner Kadri Kallas advised AxFlow, the Fluid Handling Solutions business group of Axel Johnson International, on entering the Baltic market by acquiring Bahr Pump OÜ (Estonia), Pumptechnique SIA (Latvia) and Flow Technologies UAB (Lithuania). The firm advised AxFlow on the due diligence, structuring of the transaction and assisted on the closing.

Ole Weiner, CEO of AxFlow Holding, said that although having a strong market position in Europe over nearly 30 years, the Baltic market has always been a white spot for Axflow and acquiring companies with strong management teams, highly skilled personnel, strong sales networks, and long, solid experience in their local markets fits perfectly with their growth strategy.

All three acquired companies specialise in supplying fluid handling equipment, advanced systems, and service to end-users and contractors. Some of their key products include pumps, loading arms, actuators and hydrocarbon metering, primarily for the petrochemical, chemical, food, and power generation industries. Uku Liive, the founder of Bahr Pump and part-owner of Pumptechnique and Flow Technologies, commented that AxFlow’s acquisition gives new opportunities to add other products to their portfolio in the future.

AxFlow, established in 1989, forms the Fluid Handling Solutions business group within Axel Johnson International.
